Founded in 1982, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of history, science and service as related to its home aboard the aircraft carrier Intrepid. The carrier was decommissioned in 1974 following tours of service in World War II, the Cold War and the Vietnam War, but it continues serving today as a non-profit, educational institution, berthed on the Hudson River in New York City. Visitors can get a taste of shipboard life and explore other impressive exhibitions such as the space shuttle Enterprise, a British Airways Concorde and 28 more restored aircraft, including the Lockheed A-12 Blackbird. And through the generous support of Bank of America, now you can visit this National Historical Landmark for free as a member of Veterans Advantage.
The Intrepid has been a Veterans Advantage military verification partner since 2016.
